So I thought I would write a few words about what im getting up to and what I have planned this year I have been so busy with the personal training that I haven’t had chance to blog on my personal trainer site .
So in 8 weeks time on September 17th I will be stepping on stage in Toronto participating in my first Physique competition.
9 weeks ago I was In the ABS Personal Training studio IN Dublin when I decided I needed to find a goal to train towards.
As a personal trainer I’m always telling my clients at the studio in Dublin to find a goal and train for it as it will keep them focused and motivated
It then dawned on me that I needed to do this myself.
I had been training since Xmas just focusing on getting stronger ,but with no real aim or goals.
I thought about entering a power-lifting competition ,but then I decided I didn’t want to look like a power-lifter and pile on all that body-fat.
I was talking about another Dublin Personal Trainer Ian Graham to a client about his success in last years model search Fitness Star competition when I thought eureka ill have a go at that .
9 weeks later here I am training and diet my arse off .
So far I’m pretty happy with hows things have gone having a successful first phase of planned over training gaining 4lbs and dropping body fat .
I have even been lucky enough to get Ian on board with my training and nutritional plan. along with a load of other stuff .
After all he knows what it takes to win with success last year and finishing second the year before .
I’m now on starting my 2nd Planned over training phase .
This is basically a short period of deliberate over training to help accelerate muscle growth .
After this period I will start my conditioning phase with the goal of leaning up whilst maintaining size and strength .
I will be putting up some pictures of my progress very soon .
